The Sofa and Chair Company LTD. are currently looking to recruit an experienced Upholsterer who will be working in our workshop based in Acton west London.

The company is now entering an exciting phase of growth which will see its sales, design and manufacturing capacity and processes develop and expand over the coming 12 month period.

Personality

You will be a self-driven results orientated person with a positive can-do attitude. You must show a clear focus on high quality in a production environment with the ability to forward plan work and assess your own performance.

We are looking for a mature, credible person with excellent communication skills who can work as part of a team in a multi-cultural workshop.

You must be reliable, tolerant yet determined to succeed in a busy workshop.

Key Skills Required

• Measuring & cutting all types of fabric and leather
• Bodywork webbing, padding, springs etc
• Stapling

Accountabilities

• Liaising with colleagues
• Understanding technical job specifications
• Understanding and carrying out instructions received from Team Leader
• Hands-on understanding and skill of upholstery techniques
• Ensuring highest quality standards are achieved
