Experience Tailor

The Sofa and Chair Company LTD. are currently looking to recruit an experienced tailor, skilled in cutting & sewing Made-to-Measure furniture covers to work in our workshop based in Acton West London.

If you do not have furniture experience but you have strong knowledge of tailoring, cutting & sewing

we will provide the necessary training that is unique to our industry.

The company is now entering an exciting phase of growth which will see its sales, design and manufacturing capacity and processes develop and expand over the coming 12 month period.

Personality

You will be a reliable, hardworking and conscientious with a positive can-do attitude. You must show a clear focus on high quality in a production environment with the ability to forward plan work and assess your own performance.

We are looking for a mature, credible person with excellent communication skills who can work as part of a team in a busy multi-cultural workshop.

Key Skills Required

• Measuring, cutting and sewing all types of fabric and leather
• Template making
• Excellent planning and organisation skills
• Liaising with colleagues
• Understanding technical job specifications
• Understanding and carrying out instructions
• Ensuring highest quality standards are achieved
