We wanted to take a moment to update our clients on how The Sofa & Chair Company as a business is managing the outbreak of Covid-19 in the UK, and the steps we are taking to ensure the safety of our community of employees and customers.
First and foremost, The Sofa & Chair Company proudly employs over 150 people across our head office and workshop, and it is our primary consideration is to ensure the health and wellbeing of both employees and customers. All the decisions we have made, and continue to make, are guided by Public Health England and government advice. This includes guidance on keeping those around us safe – such as introducing working from home policies for those who are able to do so in order to substantially limit the amount of individuals within the work space.
Furthermore, we would also like to reassure clients on the continued functionality of our production line. Although a valuable ingredient to our craft process is the sourcing of fine quality materials abroad, the entirety of our manufacturing is done within our UK workshops.
After assessing the situation, we have determined that despite having relationships with suppliers both in the UK and in Europe, there are no expected changes or delays to our lead times.
Should you have any reservations about using globally-curated fabric, rest assured that we host the largest fabric library in the UK, with a generous range of choice already available. Our design consultants will therefore be able collaborate with our in-house textile specialist to accommodate any of your alternative concepts.
